TECHNICAL INFORMATION WADDING THERMAL INSULATION Thermal insulation keeps the skier or snowboarder at the right temperature: not too warm, nor too cold. The garment then adapts to the physical behaviour of the body and the outside environment. We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm. The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibres used. The thicker the wadding, the more air there is, and the warmer it is. COATING TREATMENT The coating is a watertight "material" that is applied to the inside of the outer fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you will stay dry and comfortable. WATERTIGHT MAIN SEAMS As well as the watertight material, sealed seams are incorporated to strength the watertighting of the Slide 300 suit. These are watertight adhesive strips fixed to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight.
These sealed seams are present on the areas most exposed to snow. These are usually located on the shoulders and chest.
